This document is our “Privacy Policy” and it contains details on issues related to your privacy when using our services. It is intended to inform you of our policies, procedures and practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of any information that you provide through the Platform.
The Privacy Policy is part of our Terms and Conditions which can be found on our website. When you use our Platform you accept and agree to both the Terms and Conditions and to the Privacy Policy. What Information We Collect
To let us operate the Platform effectively and to let you use the Platform, we may have to collect your personally identifiable information (such as, but not limited to, your name, phone number, email address, and address), billing and payment information, profile information, log data (information such as your computer, Internet Protocol address (“IP”), pages that you visit and the amount of time spent on those pages, actions you take and other statistics), information related to the Services or your need for Services, and any information which is exchanged between you and your Pal (collectively the “Information”). In some cases, some of the Information that you give to us is considered health-related data. You may decide which Information if any, you would like to share with us, but some functions of the Platform may not be available to you without providing us with the necessary Information. By deciding to provide the Information you agree to our methods of collection and use, as well to other terms and provisions of this Privacy Policy.

We gather two types of information about users through the Site:
Information relating to your use of our Site. When users come to our Site, we may track, collect, and aggregate information indicating, among other things, which pages of our Site were visited, the order in which they were visited, when they were visited, and which hyperlinks were clicked. We also collect information from the URLs from which you linked to our Site. Collecting such information may involve logging the IP address, operating system and browser software used by each user of the Site. We may be able to determine from an IP address a user’s Internet Service Provider and the geographic location of his or her point of connectivity. Personally Identifiable Information provided directly by you or via third parties. We collect Personally Identifiable Information that you provide to us when you register for an account, update or change information for your account, purchase products or Services, complete a survey, sign-up for email updates, participate in our public forums, send us email messages, and/or participate in Content Offerings or other Services on our Site. We may use the Personally Identifiable Information that you provide to respond to your questions, provide you with the specific Content Offering and/or Services you select, send you updates about Content Offerings or other events, and send you emails about Site maintenance or updates.
How We Use the Information
Information relating to your use of our Site. We use information relating to your use of the Site to build higher quality, more useful Services by performing statistical analyses of the collective characteristics and behavior of our users, and by measuring demographics and interests regarding specific areas of our Site. We may also use this information to ensure the security of our Services and the Site.
Personally Identifiable Information provided directly by you or via third parties. Except as set forth in this Privacy Notice or as specifically agreed to by you, AloPal will not disclose any of your Personally Identifiable Information. In addition to the other uses set forth in this Privacy Notice, we may disclose and otherwise use Personally Identifiable Information as described below:
Technical support and security. We may use Personally Identifiable Information to provide technical support to you, where required, and to ensure the security of our Services and the Site.
Providing the Site and our Services. We use Personally Identifiable Information which you provide to us in order to allow you to access and use the Site and in order to provide any information, products, or Services that you request from us.
Updates. We use Personally Identifiable Information collected when you sign-up for our various email or update services to send you the messages in connection with the Site or Content Offerings. We may also archive this information and/or use it for future communications with you, where we are legally entitled to do so.
Forums. You should not post any Personally Identifiable Information or other information of a personal or sensitive nature, whether relating to you or another person, within a Forum post. If you choose to post Personally Identifiable Information, such Personally Identifiable Information may be collected during your use of the Forums. We may publish this information via extensions of our Platform that use third-party services, like mobile applications. We reserve the right to reuse Forum posts that contain Personally Identifiable Information in future versions of the Content Offerings and to enhance future Content Offerings. We may archive this information and/or use it for future communications with you and/or your designee(s), and/or provide it to the Content Provider, business partner, or the instructor(s) associated with the courses you have taken. We may also use or publish posts submitted on the Forums without using Personally Identification Information.
Communications with AloPal Business Partners. We may share your Personally Identifiable Information with Content Providers and other business partners of AloPal so that Content Providers and other business partners may share information about their products and services that may be of interest to you where they are legally entitled to do so.
Research. We may share general information about activity on our Site, and demographic data from surveys operated by us with our Content Providers and other business partners so that our Content Providers and other business partners may use the data for research.
Confidentiality & Security of Personally Identifiable Information
We consider the confidentiality and security of your information to be of the utmost importance. We will use industry-standard physical, technical, and administrative security measures to keep your Personally Identifiable Information confidential and secure, and will not share it with third parties, except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Notice, or unless such disclosure is necessary in special cases, such as a physical threat to you or others, as permitted by applicable law. Because the Internet is not a 100% secure environment, we cannot guarantee the security of Personally Identifiable Information, and there is some risk that an unauthorized third party may find a way to circumvent our security systems or that transmission of your information over the Internet will be intercepted. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information. Please note that e-mails communications are typically not encrypted and should not be considered secure.
Personal Information We Collect
For the purposes of this policy, “Personal Information” means information about an identifiable individual or information that permits an individual to be identified and which is collected by AloPal through the use of our services, including our website and any other online platforms that may be offered or operated from time to time.
Depending on the nature of your interactions or relationship with AloPal, we may collect such Personal Information as your first and last name, postal and email addresses, telephone number(s), social network data, information concerning your social circumstances, including age, date of birth, employment details and job title, education/qualification information, gender, and other Personal Information. We may also collect certain technical information about your use of our website and online platforms, including your IP address, the type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed and the referring link through which you accessed our website or platform. If you choose to engage in the purchase of any service from us, we or our third-party payment processors will collect your payment information.
We automatically collect certain information about you when you access or use our website or transact business with us, including:
Log Information: We collect information about your use of our websites, such as the type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed, your IP address and the referring link through which you accessed our websites.
Transaction Information: When you engage in a session, we collect information about the transaction, such as details regarding the type or nature of service being provided and the date and time of the session. The sessions are NEVER video recorded.
Personal information does not include:
Publicly available information from government records.
Deidentified or aggregated consumer information.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like many websites, we use “cookies” and “web beacons” to collect information. A “cookie” is a small data file that is transferred to your computer’s hard disk for record-keeping purposes. A “web beacon” is a tiny image, placed on a Web page or email that can report your visit or use. We use cookies and web beacons to enable the technical operation of the Platform, to administer your log-in to your account and to collect the Log Data. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. Some or all of these tools may be used to track information about your behaviour on our website depending on your region.
Our commitment to protecting your personal information
We review this policy and our personal data protection practices regularly to ensure that we are in compliance with applicable legislation and current best practices. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 18 without parental consent and the services offered by AloPal are not intended for use by children without parental consent. Personal information supplied to us is confidential and we do not disclose the information to any third party except with actual or implied consent, or as permitted or required by law. We do not exchange or sell personal information.
Regardless of your geographic location, we strive to maintain personal information in as accurate, complete and up-to-date a form as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. We protect personal information by adopting reasonable physical, technical and organizational security processes and safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the Personal Information, regardless of format, which prevents accidental, unauthorized or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, access, use or processing of Personal Information. AloPal typically collects personal information that is voluntarily provided by the individual in question. At times, however, personal information is obtained from other sources, such as government bodies or third parties such as employers, references and service providers, as permitted by law. If required by applicable law, we will seek your explicit consent to process your Personal Information collected by AloPal and/or volunteered by you. The granting of such consent is entirely voluntary; however, if you do not grant the requested consent, your use of the services provided by AloPal, including our website and any other online platform that we may offer from time to time may not be possible.

Respond to your comments, questions and requests and provide customer service;

With Pals and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf, including our legal and financial advisors;
if we believe your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, or to protect the rights, property and safety of us or any third party;
in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or transfer of all or a portion of our business to another entity; and
otherwise with your consent or at your direction.
The Information may be used or disclosed to third parties for one or more of the following business or marketing purposes:
To create your account on our Platform and let you log in to your account and use the Platform.
To manage your account, provide you with customer support, and ensure you are receiving quality service.
To contact you or provide you with information, alerts and suggestions that are related to the service.
For payment-related purposes.
To reach out to you, either ourselves or using the appropriate authorities, if either we or a Pal have a good reason to believe that you or any other person may be in danger or may be either the cause or the victim of a criminal act.
To match you with a Pal.
To enable and facilitate the Services.
To supervise, administer and monitor the service.
To measure and improve the quality, the effectiveness and the delivery of our services.
Market the Platform and Services to you.
To respond to law enforcement requests and as required by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulations.
To comply with applicable state and federal laws, including, but not limited to laws related to protecting client and public health and safety.
To provide, support, personalize, and develop our Platform and Services.
To personalize your Website experience and to deliver content and product and service offerings relevant to your interests, including targeted offers and ads through our Websites, third-party sites, and via email or text message (with your consent, where required by law).
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information (such as anonymous usage data, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks, etc.) which cannot reasonably be used to identify you. If you have given your consent, we may also use your Personal Information that we collect to send you marketing or other commercial communications.
If you receive commercial emails from us, you may opt-out or unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions contained within the email or by sending an email to privacy@alopal.net Please be aware that if you opt-out of receiving commercial email from us or otherwise modify the nature or frequency of promotional communications you receive from us, it may take up to ten (10) business days for us to process your request. Additionally, even after you opt-out from receiving commercial messages from us, you will continue to receive administrative messages from us regarding any service or online platform that AloPal operates and with which you maintain a current user account.
Any personally identifiable information you elect to make publicly available through the use of our websites or any other AloPal service or online platform, such as posting comments on our blog page or in forums, will be available to others. If you remove information that you have made public, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of our website or other online platforms, or if other users have copied or saved that information.
We display personal testimonials on our website in addition to other endorsements. With your consent, we may post your testimonial along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at privacy@alopal.net
AloPal will never rent or sell your Personal Information to others. However, we may use third-party service providers from time to time to carry out certain functions for us such as data storage on servers or databases with hosting providers, printing, storage, shredding or document scanning. Where we use such outside service providers, we require those third parties to protect personal information in the same manner in which we protect it and to not use or disclose it for any purposes except as directed by AloPal.
AloPal may transfer, process and store Personal Information to affiliated entities or to other third-party service providers across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world, and your Personal Information may therefore be disclosed, transferred, stored (including electronically) or processed in such other jurisdictions for the purposes described herein.
Information you disclose publicly
By connecting with the AloPal through our social media pages or accounts, or by posting content using AloPal-created hashtags or other identifiers, you are providing your consent for AloPal to use any Personal Information or other content you submit or make available through such sites for marketing and promotional purposes, including, but not limited to, incorporation into our marketing materials, without further notice or compensation.

Phishing

Specifically, and without limitation, you should be aware that the law requires mental health professionals to disclose information and/or take action in the following cases: (a) reported or suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult; (b) serious suicidal potential; (c) threatened harm to another person; (d) court-ordered presentation of treatment.

Right to Request Deletion of Information
